Muscle oxygenation as a marker of responsiveness to pre-activation under intermittent hypoxia in swimmers: relationship with 400-m performance
Results: No significant differences were observed in performance time in the 50m crawl leg kick with no warm-up, 44sec82 (4sec06); +1°C 43sec65 (3sec69), and +2°C 44sec45 (4sec14), nor in the perceptual responses. Conclusions: The increase in muscle temperature of +1°C and +2°C could not significantly alter performance in the 50m all-out crawl kick nor in the perceptual variables
