The difference in active drag between front crawl and backstroke: a kinematic approach
INTRODUCTION: The existing active drag assessments assume a uniform flow velocity around the body, which is not the case in whole-body swimming. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to establish a new index of active drag in light of the ununiform flow velocity and determine the difference in active drag between front crawl (FC) and backstroke (BS) swimming.
