Age peculiarities of school children's swimming technique instruction

The aim of this study was to elaborate age differentiation means for schoolchildren's swimming technique instruction. Series of pedagogical experiments was carried out to ascertain age and sex peculiarities of swimming technique instruction in schoolchildren at 7-17 years of age, and to find out the distinction of means dosage during the process of swimming technique improvement in different periods of development: sensitive, critical and period of stabilisation. The sensitive (most favourable) periods to improve swimming technique parameters have shown to be at 9-10, 12-!3, !5-!6 years in boys and for 9-10, !3-14 years in girls.
